Why does Sunstone not publish a single price?
A twenty-guest micro wedding over a weekend and a 200-guest Saturday with 40 people sleeping on site are different projects on the same land. Publishing one number would mislead half of the couples reading it. Instead, every inquiry is answered on availability, then priced against the four inputs below.
What are the four inputs that change a mountain venue quote?
Guest count sets catering, seating, structures, and staffing. Season sets demand, with summer and early autumn Saturdays booked furthest ahead and winter and spring dates more available. Number of nights sets lodging and meals for the people staying on the property. Vendor scope sets how much of catering and bar, tenting and structures, furnishings, florals, sound and production, and photography you run through Sunstone versus arrange yourself.
What does a full-property weekend replace?
A typical Southern California venue sells a six-hour block, and the couple then buys a hotel block in town, transport between the two, a rehearsal dinner venue, and a farewell brunch venue. A weekend at Sunstone puts the welcome dinner, ceremony, reception, and brunch on one property with 40 guests sleeping steps from the celebration. What is included in the property booking?
The full-property buyout, lodging for 40, ceremony and reception spaces, the gym, trail access onto the Pacific Crest Trail, and a dedicated coordinator from first call to send-off. Catering, bar, structures, florals, design, and production are coordinated through Sunstone with regional vendors who have worked the property before.
Is a winter or spring wedding less expensive in Big Bear?
Winter and spring are the least booked seasons on the mountain, which usually means the date you want is open and the conversation about price is easier. Ask about a specific date rather than assuming a season is out of reach. Every cabin has a wood-burning fireplace and an in-bath jacuzzi tub, and evening heating is part of the standard structures package for outdoor portions.
How do multi-day programs at Sunstone price per person?
For reference, the multi-day trainings and gatherings that Sacred Sons hosts on the property publish per-participant prices on sacredsons.com, from a few hundred dollars for a weekend youth gathering to several thousand for a multi-month leadership program with in-person weekends on the land.
